What's wrong with using VOCAB/SAT words for the writing section?

<p>There are lists of used SAT vocabulary from many sources. What's wrong if you include them in your essay, if the rubric says something about vocabulary. What if the person uses it in the correct context?
I'm practicing using SAT in sentences. But would it even hurt my essay more if I'm going for a 10 on the essay.</p>

<p>By the way, what types of examples should I memorize for the writing section. I don't what to memorize so many and they become useless for a given prompt.

<p>If you use the vocabulary correctly and in the right context, it should be fine. But don’t overdo it. You should aim at being concise with your points, maybe sprinkle in a cool word here and there, but don’t put too many obscure words in your essay since it will probably make it harder for the reader to understand.</p>
