Hello guys.

I heard all the bragging and stats-listing about this great college, and now I'd like you people who study there to tell me:

What sucks about Yale? What's not ideal with the undergrad life, academics etc.?

I know it can't be perfect. And I thought this could be a good way for me to decide between my choices... (which are H,Y,Brwn,Stnf)

Thanks in advance! ;)

Whether or not a college has the 'ideal' is up to you and your perception of perfection.

well I want to hear what other people think. :)

It's cold.

New Haven could be a better college city (Berkeley, CA and Cambridge, MA come to mind).

The true answer to this question: NOTHING.
jk

that's 99% true though..more than most colleges can say ;)

the only thing i think of is the fact you can't minor (which is fine because a major isn't ridiculously more work than a minor)

I'd say a negative is rejecting like 90% of applicants (especially if you are one of the ones rejected).

@Dbate:

I'd say the (apparently) ~7% admission rate is a good thing from the perspective of an admitted student. It means that his classmates are truly some of the best (if not all, necessarily, some of the brightest). They've all done exceptional things in their fields, or else they wouldn't be at Yale.

^^^Oh yeah once you get in, the low admit rate is NICE, but as of now (the outside looking in) it is not.
