It REALLY bothers me to read people's harsh comments about AA program. Although I, as a URM, don't support AA, I don't even try to destroy others' dreams or criticize them for getting in because of their minority status. I HATE when people see a white applicant getting in Ivy, they say "Yay, scores don't mean anything." However, when a black applicant gets in for his hard work, people say "Oh, he got in because of AA." I just HATE that. Surely, AA helps, but not significantly, in the admission process. Colleges look for diversity, not all same, boring zombies with perfect SAT scores. There's nothing you can do but accept AA. Face it. AA exists, but it doesn't guarantee that every minority gets in good colleges. Like everybody else, minorities are expected to do well on SAT, get good grades, write great essays, and have strong ECs. They are just like you. I also HATE to see people's responses to white/black applicants' threads. When a white applicant lists his race and his stats, people just tell him how much chance he has. However, when a black applicant does same thing, people just go mad crazy about AA and say 'You are relying on your race to get in!' Maybe that applicant simply feels he deserves to go to a good school because of his hard work and his passion for education, not because of his race.

Summary: Yo all crazy!
