What's *YOUR* Academic Index?

http://www.collegeconfidential.com/AcademicIndexCalc.aspx

I know this isn't nearly accurate at all, and doesn't exactly give predictions or anything, but just out of curiosity, what's your academic index?

Mine is a 233 with an AI Rank of 9. But of course that still didn't get me in Yale SCEA... :p

Obviously it doesn't include the intangibles on your app, but this is just for fun, so let's post and compare! :D

Since Yale only requires two subject tests and the AI doesn’t include the writing section, I included the writing section as one of my subject tests.

Still, mine is only a 205 making me have an AI rank of 4. Sadly, my statistics are not that strong, but my AI ranking is skewed (in the downward direction) due to the fact that I only have a low GPA/class rank due to my school’s grading system. If a 92% was considered an A, I’d have a 3.95, but meh.

Mine is 234 with an AI rank of 9/9. I was accepted to Stanford SCEA and applied RD to Yale.

This is kind of weird.

My AI rank is 5/9 and my composite score I guess is a 214. Hahaha. I’m not a fan of that calculator, makes me feel really inferior.

239 (and I expect to get rejected everywhere)

231 and 9. Is this index only used at CC? Or is it similar to the one that I’ve heard colleges use for athletes?

226, 8/9. :/

234 / 9. The A.I. was originally used for athletes but they use it to group applicants as well.

236/9… but didn’t help me get in anywhere

240/9, but I would certainly be more interested in the evaluation/quantification of the more subjective aspects of the college application.

237 9/9 Meh, I still fail. :)

Lol! We got updated ranks today, so I’m now a 229. Still an 8, but it’s ridiculous how much of a difference that makes… I only went up by two places.

219, 6/9 if I put in my 3 top Subj tests, 220 if I use Writing as one Subj test.

OMG, I am so getting rejected in comparison to all of you guys :(.

By using unoffical class rank: 228/8
By using official weighted grades: 231/9

Not expecting anything: rejection or acceptance. It’s best to mentally prepare myself for rejection than acceptance, though.

The rank seems to have a real big effect here. When I put in #1 (my real rank) I’m at 231, and when I change it to #2 I drop to 227 and a 8/9 rather than 9/9. Putting in my unweighted GPA (school doesn’t weigh) also drops it to a 229.

hey this is so cool! i’ve never seen this

Your Academic Index: 239
AI Rank: 9 out of 9

didn’t get me into yale SCEA either ;)

I am at a 4.
Yet I was accepted at UChicago and UMich, waiting on Northwestern, Harvard, Yale, Cornell, UPenn, and NYU.

^Woot. Go 4’s  (don’t you feel so inferior to everyone else here…I know I do lol)!

6… and this is to fill the word limit
