For these 8 things, say whether you oppose or support it and say why:

1.) Gun Control:

I only support more effort to keep guns out of the hands of those who shouldn?t have them (basically illegal gun sales).

2.) Affirmative Action:

Our country still has a way to go with the race relations or whatever you want to call it, but I just don't believe that Affirmative Action in necessary anymore.

3.) Stem Cell Research:

Support fully.

4.) War in Iraq:

Support...because I feel that leaving things as they are now would make things far worse. The problem is that we should have made a clear plan to get out after catching Saddam...things are far too complicated at this point. We missed our opportunity. As for whether I believe we should be there in the first place...eh...honestly, I'm not sure how I feel about that.

5.) Political Correctness:

I'd like for people to be polite and civil, but I am totally against people limiting other's speech just because they don't like what they're saying. Right or wrong, people have the right to feel any way they want and say whatever they want until it interferes with other people's rights.

6.) G.W. Bush:

He's made mistakes and proposed some questionable stuff...but I don't hate him or anything. I feel that he had some terrible luck in his presidency and that he truly does think he can solve the problems in the Middle East. Sadly, I think that's completely unrealistic and that he should have admitted that to himself a long time ago.

7.) Death Penalty:

I have mixed feelings about this. It's definitely not a punishment that should be taken lightly. I just don't know...but if I had to say one way or the other at this moment, I'm for it in cases where we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they did it.

8.) Giving Illegal Immigrants rights of U.S. citizens:

Strongly oppose. I know that many have sad stories, blah, blah...but they are here illegally. They have no right to education, healthcare, jobs, none of it. It may be cold hearted, but it's my opinion.

9) Abortion:

Support during the first trimester and only in extreme medical cases past that point.

10) Gay Marriage:

Honestly, I'm torn. I lean towards allowing it, but there are just some legal and societal things that worry me a little.
