I have guaranteed admission to UConn, so I'm aiming high with my other applications. Some are reaches, but not badly so. The only thing that will keep me out of Wells is Tufts syndrome, which I'm trying really hard to avoid.

I'm also looking at: Rochester, Binghamton, Geneseo, Douglass College at Rutgers (won't apply if it closes), Drew, Dickinson, Conn College, Wesleyan, Gettysburg, Bowdoin, UMass (for NEBHE tuition), and Wellesley. I'm almost certainly not applying to most of those, but I keep them in mind and continue researching, and I also plan on visiting all but Dickinson (already been to Gettysburg and UMass).

If you want the reason why I’m applying to all the schools I am, here it is:
I’m being recruited at Harvard, Princeton and MIT so I am applying. And the other school I originally applied to was U Chicago because I like the school.
Obviously not feeling any safeties, I applied to Georgtown and Yale since I am considered a legacy at both and I love both campuses.
I applied to Dartmouth, Notre Dame and Villanova because I enjoy their programs and find their campuses attractive (yet to visit in person).
Willamette sent me a “free application” and I was bored and I can consider it an ultimate back up.
Happy?

How/why is that “pompous”?
