whats your favorite at berkeley?

Agreed, the Stephens library is beautiful.

I adore Wurster Hall, at least from what I've seen of it. I think it's the ugliest building on campus from the outside--- it's that giant lopsided run-down gray building on the south side of campus--- but inside, it's amazing. Of course, I am biased (I'm an incoming architecture major), but I like Wurster especially because it's so unexpectedly beautiful on the inside. It's like this avant-garde loft/workshop/warehouse.

I like the way Soda Hall looks on the outside, but, according to my sister, the engineers think it looks like a tiled bathroom floor. Well, whoever said bathroom floors couldn't be attractive?

Does anyone know the name of the building that's supposed to be the most beautiful in all of the UC campuses? Is it Stephens?

Anyway, I'm personally a fan of walking around on campus, even though I haven't gotten to do it much as I'm from SoCal.

Most architecture students like Wurster. It kind of aged well too, acquiring that classic mid-century modern vintage look and feel. Moffit too.

there are about 10 solid candidates for the most beautiful building on campus. Hearst, Wheeler, Main Library, Campanile, Faculty Club, and a few on the western side.

You make the call, scroll to the bottm of this thread for a few dozen pics of campus:

I am a fan of you descriptions, TTG.

yea his descriptions are so passionate and well, descriptive lol

Wurster's hideous, I think. Worse than Evans. I like Wheeler and Doe Library the best.

wellman is nice too
