What's your "favorite college"?

UPenn!!! <3

I love the University of Michigan. I love the idea of once you graduate, for me at least (can’t speak for the women), how you become a ‘Michigan man.’ The school spirit is through the roof. Best fight song in all of college athletics, it’s snowy, national reputation as an elite public school, however it doesn’t have my exact preferred major, journalism, so I would have to look into communication studies or grad school (which I plan on anyway).

Princeton.
Prestige, nice campus, excellent academics, great for undergrad.

Also, Cornell. Same reasons as above.

Harvard, too, but mostly bc prestige.

IU Bloomington. Nice campus, good attached hospital. Easy accessibility to things. Not too far away from home.

Foothill College

cornell Def reach love engineering there, In NY
MIT super reach John Nash teaches there ^^ BOston
JHU - high reach (engineering) but It looks fantastic

@aish iu sucks!

University of Texas- Austin
Hook 'em

Got to say that High Point is awfully amazing - In terms of just the Wow factor and giving a student what feels like a Country Club life.

That said, I think the dorms at Oklahoma State University are as nice as any in the country now and the overall feel of that campus is so friendly it just really draws you in.

@Descuff Lemme guess…Purdue fan? I have nothing against Purdue.

My fav school: MIT duh

Barnard College.

-Small Liberal Arts school
-Resources of Columbia U from the partnership
-NYC
-Good Neuroscience Department
-Career Advising
-The Community

If we’re talking about NCAA sports, it’s UNLV (Nevada-Las Vegas). They’ve historically had one of the greatest basketball programs in NCAA history, although our football team is known for being flat-out bad.

Stanford!! You know she’s popular and desired for very good reasons:

  • beautiful campus (I fell in love - hard)
  • fantastic community: fun, enthusiastic, intellectual, driven, passionate
  • great weather year-round. When I was there I never wanted to leave
  • great professors, great academics
  • semi-rural location: the beautiful hills (there are reportedly lions - so cool!), located near cheesecake factory, stanford shopping mall
  • size: The Farm is so big you could go on an adventure exploring the whole place! Haha  and I love it that you cycle to classes!
  • love the cardinal logo
  • prestige (gives you full bragging rights-of course you wouldn’t do it openly and be annoying-and allows you to hold your head up high in your community haha!)

I’m just a Stanford fanatic  too bad it’s nearly impossible to get in. Fingers crossed though.

Stanford University.

  1. Amazing campus in California, one of my favorite places to be. Great weather, stuff to do outside of campus, and it’s closer to LA than where I am now.
  2. The campus life is vibrant, enthusiastic, passionate, and exciting.
  3. FOUNTAIN HOPPING
  4. The marching band
  5. Everyone Pees in the Shower – I never had any interest in Fleet Street but this song is absolutely hilarious. I give kudos to whoever wrote the lyrics to this song. If I was a guy, I’d join Fleet Street just for this.
  6. Great education, cool professors
  7. Its logo and colors
  8. It has a Taiko group, mixed acapella groups, a wind symphony, and just about every other SO that I could ever need
  9. Its blog
  10. Its jargon
  11. On freshmen move-in day, they recognize your face, call out your name (and the place you are from) and welcome you with claps and cheers
  12. The best dorm themes ever
  13. Ski trip
  14. The size of the college is perfect: Not too small and not huge like NYU
  15. The Rose Bowl and the Big Game!
  16. Mausoleum
  17. Campus concerts!
  18. Have I mentioned it’s in California?
  19. Stanford has the most enjoyable supplement that I have ever seen
  20. FloMo
  21. FROYO - an absolute must for any college
  22. Assassins
  23. Formal
  24. Dead Week (not going to lie, I am actually looking forward to this slightly.)
    and going off of 24:
  25. Primal Scream. The most appealing part of Dead Week

Wacky Walk

Climbable trees that are begging to be climbed on!

Okay I’ll stop there.

I have fallen in love with Simmons. Too bad its not as prestigious but I will LOVE love LOVE to go there as my safety.

Barnard, Occidental, GWU >>> love!

They all have the right social-academic balance that I am looking for. Which is either being in a big city but with a small school with LOTS of things do to or having a strong pan-hellenic greek system with GOOD parties.

Carnegie Mellon<3

columbia, because it has string theory

For prestige/ history, it’s gotta be Harvard and Columbia. For great academic fit, location and campus beauty, most certainly Quinnipiac and Monmouth.
