Merzbow and Gucci maneeeee

^ whaaaaaaat?..you dont listen to sigur ros???

Lil Wayne

I am constantly listening to Weezy no matter the situation

i put on some metal while studying or working out moderately difficult things

not norwegian death metal or anything too extreme, as its nearly impossible to concentrate while such awesomeness is engaged, but a bit of 80’s thrash or some lamb of god gets derivatives and stochiometry, or anything of the like, done quite quickly

the same applies to writing papers but one must mix it up a little

i once wrote 6 pages while listening to only an electric guitar rendition of the metal gear solid 4 theme…it was quite an epic construct when it was all said and done

Red Jumpsuit Apparatus
Breaking Benjamin
Rise Against

Classical when doing math/writing papers. Nothing in particular, just the local classical station. Once in a while I will play some Sinatra/Bobby Darin tunes. :)

Ratatat and Why? are my favorites to listen to while studying/writing papers.

Another really weird thing I listen to:
I bought the soundtrack to Clorox Bleach commercials :o
(You know the ones with the kid in the bath tub who becomes a pirate, and they play a Harry Potter-esque symphony? Yeah, I bought that and the other seven or so songs from the variant commercials)

I can’t work unless I’m listening to anything other than John Mayer’s Battle Studies right now. I’ve listened to it so many times that I can sing along without being distracted. Before that I couldn’t really work while listening to music…

@lilygrace

ratatat is an amazing study band. especially the album classics

I listen to a lot of trance/techno/dance/electronica.

Passion Pit

Musicals, showtunes, what have you.

Ratatat is definitely my go-to, especially the remixes :P
