poision.ivy: The way you phrased that statement causes offense.

She was joking...The two posters before her were both 100% Indian; she was not being serious, indicated by the "lol", meaning "laughing out loud", often used to signify a joke. I understand how you can be offended, but she was really joking...

mcz: Perhaps poision.ivy was joking. However, there's no excuse in joking about a serious issue such as race. I'm not trying to sound mean because I always joke around - but joking around race isn't funny at all.

"joking around race isn't funny at all."

very true. however, i think i'd have to agree with mcz about it being a joke :)

both of my parents are Salvadorians...

Alukaszewicz, I could see that you were Polish by your last name...As I've said, I'm part Polish...My last name is Zebrowski.

Yeah, my last name is really annoying, especially when someone else is trying to pronounce it. Oh well, its my dad's fault.

People oftentimes screw up on mine, too...I think if you look at mine, it's pretty easy, but people just can't grasp that...

But its so cool though! Both of ur last names stand out!

"There are wayy too many Indians in this world. lol"

Yep, Indian here too. While there may be too many Indians in this world, there are also way too many Indians who are true CC junkies

My last name is spelled exactly how it sounds -- Kanflo -- but people never seem to get it right. I've seen many variations, but "Carneflow" is by far the worst. I've taken to introducing myself as "Anya Kanflo K-A-N-F-L-O" without skipping a beat. Makes it easier.

what am i the first half persian/half filipino on this board?
