What's Your Idea of Notetaking :)

I usually don't do it ha,ha yet I always never get lower than an A- on memorization tests.

Yet what about when it is something perplexing like a chemical or mathematical equation? Do you copy the PowerPoint (if provided), or practice, practice, practice.
And lastly; what are your personal favorite test?
I love projects, especially construction ones.

Thank you :)

I don’t do notetaking. However, if there’s a test that requires rote memorization (vocab idk, periodic table memorization, etc) I just pull out index cards and make flash cards.

color-coded highlighted madness. with bullet points. i don’t like two-column, but my chem teacher makes us take notes like that. Generally I’ll have one color for the notes, another for sample problems, and a third for important formulas. I highlight important terms. Dotted lines separate notes from in-class problems [in the case of chem and math]. I almost never write in black or blue- i write in purple, green, orange, and pencil when I have to. I use these really sick erasable pens that don’t smudge or anything.

And I prefer math tests because they’re the least subjective, then French tests because they’re the easiest [however, neither is my favorite subject :)]

If there’s a powerpoint or somesuch, I copy it down [except in history… I take almost no notes, especially since all the powerpoints are online].

edit: in the case of English, all my notes go in whatever book we’re reading -it’d be stupid to do otherwise. French I generally just write down random vocab that’s not in the book [in columns] and, of course, noew grammar rules/weird conjugations.

while i almost never look back at math notes and only look at french notes if i forget something, i study my chem notes because it’s not my strongest subject. history i just reread some book/talk it out with a friend [best way to study for history is discussion]. english we don’t HAVE tests, my notes and annotations are just to help me when i’m writing.

I only really take notes in AP Calc and AP Physics C.
My personal favorite tests? Probably problem-solving tests, like Calc or Physics.

I take notes but I don’t look back at them really

In English I sporadically take notes. In AP Gov I take notes for the fact that all he does is put up a powerpoint and there is nothing to do but take notes or die of boredom. I don’t think I’ve ever looked back at the notes he’s given us

oh and my favorite tests by far are math and science tests. They’re really great

I try to entertain myself with notes: overly detailed diagrams in bio, derivations of everything in math, history channel style recaps in history. I keep problems and notes seperate; the OCD in me doesn’t want them breaking up the flow of the notes…

My favorite test would be anything requiring problem solving in Physics/Calc, but in my classes, problems like that are rare… =</p>

I don’t take notes. I sit in class, sleep, wake up and ace a test.

I usually don’t take notes, only in Calc. Also in Chemistry because it is required, as the teacher checks our notes every week for a grade. When I do take notes, often times much of the paper ends up being doodled on with intricate swirls and shapes consuming the sides of the paper. I have found that class notes don’t really help; only personal notes when studying help somewhat.
Favorite test? French or History.

At my school you have to take notes and do it their way to…so yeah…lol

Math and sciences with mathematical problems: sample problems, and many of them.

History or similar: the usual note-taking.

Things that just need to be memorized, such as facts or terms: flash cards.
