They're n00bs

Clearly nubs. All Ivy League members are too sophisticated to put numbers in a word.

FWIW I've heard people at princeton are miserable (my princeton '12 friends included)

^ really? I thought Princeton is a laid back ivy? Besides Brown of course.

I am an adult poster, but I have been hearing the same type of comments about Princeton as written in Post #43 above for the past two years from several current Princeton students. Seems that they don't care for the social climate/campus culture very much. Curious as to the types of comments heard by the above poster.

I've decided to give some insight about these ivy leagues. My brother's a Brown student (and hopefully I will too ;) ) on the ivy council. I've heard (and witnessed) nearly everyone at Brown loves it. Very intelligent people and fun. Dartmouth is absolutely insane! Very fun ivy with cool and smart people. I've heard Harvard people could be a little stuck up cuz they go to the "most prestigious." However, it wouldn't be fair to judge them completely on that so they're alright. I've heard Yale is cool, but its location kinda sucks. Still extremely intelligent people and generally nice people. Cornell has very nice people, but not too much of an opinion (the representatives at the ivy council weren't a good representation). People at Princeton are always stressed or something like tht. Also like Harvard cuz they're "the most prestigious" too? So my school sends several people to Columbia every year. Last year we got 3 or 4 in. I know about 10 people that go there. They all hate it. No school pride nd on weekends it's dark and quiet. Wouldn't want to go there...ever. Penn is the worst in my opinion. I know people that go there as well (about 4) and they all hate it to. I personally don't like the area and the people are very preppy (which is fine), but no one there is really warm from what I understand. Plus, the Wharton students look down at everyone else and the community is very crude and disrespectful.

As far as ivies go, Penn + H ftw!

Lol swim...hate to say it but kinda spot on.

Dartmouth/Brown
Harvard/Yale/Princeton

i love how penn is still underrated (sarcasm)

i LOOOOVE penn! and i so wanna go there...i'm tryin to be optimistic about it but can't really. it's getting harder and harder to get into a school like penn. sometimes i wish i lived in the 70s or something...or even change my name to a slighly less asianesque one...j/k! go penn!

Dartmouth

Haha Fearless, your ratings are rather unconventional, regardless, Penn FTW :D
It's WAY too underrated...with HYP being way too overrated...

BROWN! :D

Yale

Then Dartmouth / Columbia / Harvard / Princeton / Penn / Cornell

i never actually made my own rankings so here i go...

Penn
Yale
Harvard
Dartmouth
Princeton
Columbia
Cornell

I left out a school for a reason

For undergrad:

my ranking of the Ivies

1) Dartmouth
2) Princeton
3) Yale
4) Brown
5) Harvard
6) Cornell
7) Columbia
8) UPenn

My alma mater is in that list, so some direct experience.

For engineering, Cornell moves to the #1 spot.

Would place Williams, Amherst, Middlebury, and Bowdoin above any Ivy.
