<p>I expect this thread to have few answers, as many of you seem to appear pretty affluent. But for us poor folk, what's your job?</p>
<p>I worked at JCP and got laid off. Now I babysit. I'm on CC right now as the kids are sleeping, basically getting paid to surf the internet and do my homework. lol</p>
<p>Haha, I have a friend who got fired from his telemarketing job. Considering the amount of hate against them, it’s a wonder telemarketers meet their quotas at all.</p>
<p>I used to be a waiter/busboy, but I quit cause it got pretty stressful, and the tips are only good during Fridays and Saturdays, nights when you yourself should be out. I’m looking for a retail position, but no luck so far.</p>
<p>Waitress FTW. It’s stressful, but still an excellent job. One time, I served a man a hamburger and fries and he left me a >$40 tip. :)</p>

<p>Does your money go to your family? I’m not wealthy and I don’t have a job. I just don’t spend anything.</p>
<p>^No. I spend some of my money, but mostly I save it. I want as much money for college as possible.</p>
<p>I’m looking. Probably going to check out the local music store. They love training high schoolers and paying them in the process. Maybe the local grocery stores, but not even my mother can find a job there, and she’s been in retail since she was 16.</p>

<p>I work at a sandwich shop at a beach club during the summers. It’s pretty decent, free food and they’re pretty flexible about hours.</p>
<p>I tutor at Kumon. It’s a math and reading learning center for those of you who don’t know. People automatically think I get paid alot cause it’s a learning center but I only get $8.50/hour. California minimum wage is $8/hour. I work 7-9 hours a week.</p>
<p>I spent $278 on my friends Christmas '07 so my parents took away my debit and atm card. On the bright side, I have $3000+ saved up because of that.</p>
<p>I want a job but every place I ask says that you have to be eighteen because they want their workers to due closing, but due to child labor laws, children cannot work that late. In a minute I am about to forget my pride and just work for the McDonald’s by my school. Hey, money is money.</p>
<p>i used to work at kaplan, $17/hr but we never had any business because no one wants to pay $125/hr for a college student to tutor them</p>

<p>Anyway, I work as an usher at Orchestra Hall and I’m also a violin teacher. I used to work as a cashier/server at Sbarro.</p>
