What's your major? What year are you?

damn im a 1st year psychobio major too…but im wondering if i should possibly double major or minor in bizecon..who knows damn it

does anyone know what the difference between having a double major is as opposed to making it a minor instead?

bananagirl
that’s impressive. I think Med school requirements can be done in about two years and i think a psychobiology major is the way to go (if i could do it over again).

etti,
business would be a good add-on, and if i was in your position (if i could do it over again) i would. A bizecon major might be tough because you can easily fall over the unit max in double majors. A minor is a good idea. Although there isnt a business minor at ucla, there is an accouting minor.

Good for you bananna_girl.

I don’t think you can minor in BizEcon. That and the requirements for the two majors are starkly different. That and there is hardly any benefit to pursuing those highly disparate majors.

When you double-major, you take a significantly higher amount of units to complete the majors. Minors are lighter obviously.

You should do some research about what courses are required for different areas of study so that you can clear up that confusion.

First year, soph standing after one quarter.

Current major is biochem, blech. Considering majoring in Marine Bio, so I can study WHALES LIKE EMMELINE LOLOLOLOL

That would be… LS 2.

1st year, five units away from having sophomore standing

History major (well, “pre-major” for now)… it’s cool to see that there are some 3rd/4th year history majors on this forum… maybe you guys can give me some advice as to which upper-division history courses to take.

As for my post-graduation plans… I think I want to go to grad school to get a masters in library science

The history major is pretty flexible in choosing courses to satisfy requirements. Professor Langdon is the nicest professor I’ve had at UCLA. He bought the entire class blue books and gave everyone chocolate. Not only that, his lecturing style is engaging. It’s like he’s a story-teller. If that isn’t enough, he’s a lenient grader. He teaches Roman History and Byzantine History.

First year with soph standing. Biochem major. Hope to be a pharmacist.

2nd year CSE major. MBA after working for a couple of years.
