What's your motivation for studying in the US (Undergrad and Grad)?

even i think the same like garggaurav and codeguy about IITs! But still i am preparing for JEE too along with SAT

I could answer your original question with a new answer every time it’s asked; but I’ll give you one very short motivator to think about: global competitiveness.

As you are a science nerd, as your screen name suggests, let’s approach it from a science perspective. Pick any scientific field: material sciences, nanorobotics, physics, etc. - pick your favorite. Any professional conference or society (IEEE, ASME, etc.) that publishes will have a very heavy presence from U.S. academia - so it’s not a hard conclusion where the center of mass for these fields lie.

That being said, from your personal perspective, what are your career ambitions? A degree from a top U.S. institution will get you global recognition at any MNC; they know what the standards are, and they recruit accordingly.

Good luck!
