USCarolina

@PAGRok I will probably apply for Business Administration, so I shouldn’t have any problems haha.

Safeties: Harvard, Williams, Cambridge and Mcgill

Reaches: Boise St and Oregon State

Worcester State or Salem State. I think i’d be happier at Worcester, though, as far as safeties are concerned.

Obviously there are some ridiculously odd safety schools on here, William & Mary, USC, Carnegie Mellon, and Georgetown! What’s happening here? lol

People inflating themselves for the internet to see/people who genuinely consider those to be safeties.

Take your pick!

University of Delaware. Pretty much anyone from our school who even writes their name on an application for UD gets in. Almost.

Im only going to be a sophomore but my safety’s would probably be

UTSA
Austin Community College(Would probably transfer into UT after a year or two)
UT-Arlington
Colorado

I’d have to say that my absolute last resort school would probably be NOVA Community College. But I would really have to mess up my next (and final) year in high school to attend there. I’m more than likely going to get into a college somewhere, and I’m sure my target schools are viable for my stats.

University of Oklahoma… I really don’t want to go there

Sent from my Desire HD using CC

Since when do community colleges count as safeties?? I mean, don’t you just pay the money; you don’t really have to apply…

Isn’t that the ideal safety, then? Even if the world is ending, chances are you’re going to get into the local CC.

Whether you’d be happy at your safety is another story.

I dont think you can really judge the schools people choose to make their safeties… for URM who is a valedictorian with a 2300+ SAT, fantastic ECs, Essays, and the whole nine yards a top 15 university could easily be a safety.

I said Safety/Low Match. Yes, my school has relatively high admission rates to Georgetown, CMU, and Tufts for people with stats similar to mine. I definitely would not consider them a safety. In no way could I guarantee admission to those schools. However, I can say that I will most likely gain admission. The admission process is random enough that I cannot consider them safeties. And I go to a top 20 M/S school in the country so TONS of kids apply to them from my school. Thus, there is a decently large sample size backing up our admission rates. My counselor says I can rely on those schools as low matches.

My safety schools are Central Connecticut State University, possible Southern, Marymount Manhattan College, and Pace University.

Vanderbilt. Legacy+ Employee benefits.

UNCW.
It’s actually my second favorite school I plan on applying to, after UNC, so if things don’t work out, I wouldn’t mind it at all if I ended up there.

@ImSoAmbitious do you know the accepted peoples essays? Their EC’s? Their letters of recommendation? It’s all good to say you have the same stats as those admitted, but it is not to say you will be accepted. I had testing stats above average at every top school (35 ACT) a pretty good GPA (4.23) and 7 AP courses which equalled top 2% rank but I didn’t get into my tippy-top schools even though my stats were probably above average. It’s more than just stats at the top schools.

Probably UAA (University of Alaska-Anchorage) and Minnesota.

USCarolina, Clemson, Furman
