Went from a Bruin (aka Bear…) in high school to a Bearcat. Which, by the way, is a marsupial. Not that our mascot is that cool… Baxter Bearcat looks like a really friendly grey mountain lion with bear ears.

Our old mascot (before my school decided it HAD to go DI in sports) was way better. Go Colonials!

Take it back to elementary! Lol
Bulldog in elementary → eagle in first intermediate–> idr what my second intermediate was–> a steer in middle school–> mustang in high school–> Texas Longhorn :D

D’awww. That’s adorable. I love when schools have a real animal mascot like that.

If we’re doing the whole progression thing.

Bear in elementary –> Mustang in my first middle school –> Patriot in my second middle school –> Spartan in high school –> Mountaineer in college.

Interestingly, one of the schools I was considering was UNC-Greensboro, they’re the Spartans and their colors are blue and gold, same as my high school. The colors at my second middle school were also blue and gold. So if I’d gone to UNCG that would’ve been 8 years of being a Spartan and 10 years of being surrounded by blue and gold.

If my dreams come true, I’ll be a Wildcat in graduate school. But who knows?

Umass Amherst has Sam the Minuteman. It’s a guy dressed in a cartoonish red American revolutionary war soldier costume. He looks similar to UPenn’s Quaker mascot except he has a red jacket instead of blue one.

My high school was too lame to have a mascot. We’re the “Red Raiders,” but we don’t having anyone that dresses like that for football games. However, our ROTC has a bulldog mascot that appears at pep rallies.
