So many amazing young scientists are out there, and there's bound to be a source of inspiration for them. They cannot just think up of in their heads: yes, I shall research long complicated scientific name without something else. Magazines? Internships? TV?

Star trek / ten char

My sources of inspiration are all fictional… Chris Knight, Sheldon Cooper, Charlie Eppes

I’m subscribed to a couple different engineering and science magazines, so I do draw a lot of inspiration from them.
Recently, in one of them I read about that MIT student who built the ball-shaped robot that could roll up stairs.
That perked my interest quite a bit and I’ve done some research on the science behind what he did.

Also science fiction movies, especially if they take place in outer space.

Gosh, I’m such a geek. I never noticed the extent of it before.

I just like learning new things, no real inspiration.

But if I had to choose, i suppose my inspirations would be:

Thomas Edison
Richard Stallman
Linus Torvalds
… in no particular order

@PlattsburghLoser: dw i do all the same things that you do

Sagan, Feynman.
