It's just something I've been considering lately. I'm a sophomore and by the end of this I would've gotten most of the credits needed to graduate except english, PE, and some electives. (3 Fr, 3 Math, 3 Science, 2 S.S., 2 En, and some art credits). Even though I'm moving to a completely different school next year and doing early graduation would be tough, there's a high probability that my family is moving to a different country for what would be my senior year (I've done all my schooling in the US and would not be able to even read and write in the other country). However I'm a little scared about applying to college and all that so early. I'm still debating about it so please tell me what you all think!

It's not worth it. I think another year in high school is way more than an extra year in the working world later. And just what is this country? Be a little more clear when you're asking for advice, and your advice will be of better quality.

i would graduate early. in another country theres a whole different school system and it would mess your whole highschool career up. and if you moved to another country you would have to apply as an international and colleges would look at you harder and not want to give you financial aid.

^If the OP is still a US citizen, he/she will not apply as an international. I doubt the OP is going to be rescinding his/her citizenship as a part of the move.

Aren't there also US schools for children abroad?

^Yes, if the OP will be living in a major city.

I wouldn't.

Senior year is (IMHO) the best part! Prom, Senior Week, other stuff (privileges vary by school). Plus, I wouldn't trade walking with my class this June for ANYTHING...I'm so stoked. :)

He's not even going to be in the country....

I'd just graduate already if that is the case.

Im graduating early, and if i was in your situation I would def. grad early

thanks for all the responses

first of all to answer JBVirtuoso's question. The country in question is China. and if any of you all have heard of their pyscho test that they give over there (and that I would not be excused from). Doesn't that make everything so much better? Senior Prom or Week also would not be present.

second I'm actually an international in the US. This on top of early graduation would make applying to college here rather hard. However, back in China, I would be going through the same ordeal and under the same scrutiny as those who's been there all there life.

third it may sound like early grad is a nice choice but as I posted earlier, my parents are deciding to drag me all the way to Boston (currently in Ohio) for my junior year. >.< grrrrr. recommendations, club positions (something that people on this board and elsewhere seem to stress sooooo much) wouldn't be my strong points. Also I would only have two years of high school to show.

Sorry for the long post but is all this this confusing and difficult or am I just overfreaking out?

graduate early. it will get way too complicated with the transfering of schools and stuff
