What's your take on Fireworks?

Since its 4th of July just wondering what everyone thinks about fireworks. I love seeing them! I saw them last night and am going again tonight to another town. In NJ they are illegal for ppl to buy so you don't see many go off besides the ones at the town show. Thanks for posting, enjoy fireworks 2nite!

shouldnt be illegal

Ohio is way hypocritical when it comes to fireworks. You can buy them in Ohio, just can't light them off?!?!?!?! Everyone lights them off anyways, and as long as you don't burn something down or the neighbors don't call the cops, you usually have no problems. I love them by the way.

Yeah, its like that in D.C. and I think Maryland too. But I wonder why people buy them to begin with. I love fireworks!!!! We can always see them from our driveway being lit of by the county the night before (July 3rd). But I loved when we were younger, my parents would take us to D.C. every year to watch them.

I love em!!
I was thinking about posting a topic like this
Anyway, there is a really corny baseball game going on, but EVERYONE went to the park .. not for the baseball game, but to see the fireworks in another 40 minutes or so. It's a spectacular show. I just drove by their with my mom a couple of minutes ago, and it's still a while, so I came back home to help her unpack then we'll go back again to see the show.
All sorts of people were there .. almost the whole town of 5000 people. You had the gangstas and the oldies and the hot guys .. everyone :p
I can't wait. My mom said they also have the huge park shows on TV, but it's not cool if you're not there ya know.

we went and parked on the shoulder of my interstate that runs through my town (med sized). we probably got the best viewing angle and it was spectacular. the shoulder was filled with other people too. our city (or state) allows for its citizens to set fireworks. so I often hear a lot of firecrackers going off on my street onrandom nights.

mmm, I just saw them.

but it makes you wonder, how much America pollutes the air every July 4th. I just imagine a hole in the ozone shaped like the US after today.

they're awesome...but they're illegal in georgia, but that doesn't stop us since south carolina is 5 mins away :)

pretty...........

There legal in most parts of Missouri, but more and more counties are making it illegal. I'd say my county as a pretty good monopoly on fireworks because were like the only place in the metro area that is allowed to sell them.

I guess I'm wierd... I don't really like fireworks. It was neat this year because I stayed home(from going to see fireworks) and was sitting on the couch and saw some great fireworks out through the window. The reflection on the water made it even cooler! I don't really know who was doing them but they were pretty neat.

what kind of person doesn't look fireworks?

in my city its illegal. yesterday i was in a city where it was legal. so funny...i passed by a fireworks stand...completely blown up, the seller probably lit a firework as a sample and ended up blowing up his stand. SO funny!

They're illegal in a lot of places, however I don't think many people are going to wind up in prison for playing with sparklers.

However I understand why they're illigal. I was watching a kid launching some huge ones last night. When one of them did not take off when he thought it would, he walked over and looked down in the launch tube. I was waiting for that thing to go off and take off his face.

^Yeah, well that's his own damn fault, the government doesn't have to enforce rules on all citizens because of some stupid ones.

Anyways, they shouldn't be illegal. They're pretty awesome, especially bottle rockets and roman candles.

I love fireworks. Here in Ky the only person that can arrest you for fireworks is the fire marshal; the police can only arrest you if they are explosives, like a bomb or huge home-made fire crackers.

fireworks are fun :)

in greensboro rain has ruined any possibility of fireworks, rain sucks.
