Hey, I wanted to know if there was anyone else out there who is going to apply to Wheaton this fall.

I'm considering it, but I need to get a lot more information on the school. At the moment, it is one of 8 on the list. It looks like a really nice school, though.

I'll definitely be applying this fall. Wheaton has been my number one choice for several years. Maybe because both of my grandparents are alumni.

Do you guys think I have a legitimate chance of getting accepted?

Critical Reading- 600
Math- 630
Writing- 560

4 years of varsity basketball, 3 years working at bestbuy, owner of a tropical fish breeding business, nhs historian and stu co secretary, selected to represent school in foriegn exchange program (and mission trip) to Norway, an active scuba diver and several other extracurricular . Also, both of my grandparents are alumni. I'm mostly concerned with my SAT scores. Does anyone have any idea how heavily they're weighed?

I'll post so you know at least one person saw this thread, but I really have no advice..sorry. I don't know about the SATs, though if anyone ELSE does, please let us know- I am curious also. Your ECs look good at least. :)

papafred: I know several kids who attend Wheaton and from what I understand, your scores and ECs fall within the range of acceptances. A good GPA will help too - which I assume you have since you are NHS. However, what Wheaton seems to value most, after you have made the basic academic cut, is kids who WANT to go there. Legacies and athletes get special consideration too.
