I ended up getting a D in my calc2 class this semester. I'm so angry at myself, because all I needed was a C. I was planning to take Bio1, Chem2 and a hist class next semester, but now I have to retake this class. Since I got a D, I have to get an A to get my average for those classes to at least a 2.5 grade. I highly doubt that's going to happen since I'm horrible at math. Man, I'm so depressed right now. I don't know what to do. I now know that I'm never ever going to get out of my CC.

Okay first of all, you are going to get out of your CC. Don’t fish for pity, you know you’re going to get out, and you know they’re people much less intelligent than you who also ‘get out’. The fact that your IN a Cal2 class makes you a totally different type of ‘CC’ student. You got through trig, pre-cal, and calculus 1, how many CC students can even say they did that?

You already know that you have to retake the class because of your plans, don’t mope about it. I flunked out of high school, took the CHSPE, and am in a CC doing lower division work. I never thought I’d get any further than a CSU, but lo and behold my performance has already become ‘above’ the expectations of many UCs.

You can crawl out of any hole. I know its cliche but its true. Take advantage of the community college system, retake the class, maybe check RateMyProfessor.com for an easier Professor, and pass. Better yet, shoot for that A.

Everything I said you probably already knew, and that’s kind of the point. Don’t be depressed, you already know what you have to do.

Good Luck
