Ok, so I have a couple reach schools that I am thinking about applying for. I don't know if they are TOO far out of reach; should I even bother?

3.2 GPA, 27 ACT, taken all of the APs my school offers plus a college class. I am applying to University of Minnesota and University of Wisconsin. I am a WI resident. I know UM's average for admitted students is 26 ACT no info on GPA. UW's average is 3.6 or 3.7 GPA with 26-30 ACT. Should I even bother with these reach schools, are they just too much of a reach?

Your GPA may be less than UW’s average, but your ACT is in the midrange for both schools, so no, they are definitely not “too high” of reaches. It is definitely worth applying if you like those schools, and remember that there is a whole lot more to an application than just GPA and ACT.

Hi I was wondering if we’re suppose to do the second essay for Chemistry if we chose Biochemistry as our major on the common app for Brown? Any help will be appreciated.

As a fellow wisconsin resident I would warn you unless your 3.2 gpa is high in your highschool Madison is a mega reach. The in state acceptance is ridiculous. but if you dont mind filling out the app go for it. they have been known to handpick instate kids. U of M is the same but less hard. you have a fairly good shot there.
