When an interviewer asks you to bring a resume?

Hi. US colleges n00b here.

What IS a resume?
An interviewer has asked me to bring one. (undergrad admissions)

Is it your common app and supplements printed in full?

Is it a list of achievements? (such as sporting or academic honours?)

A list of places you have travelled? A list of things you have done for the community?

Thank you!

Your resume is basically a list of achievements, what courses you take, you can put where you have travelled, etc. etc.

Resume = Curriculum Vitae

When my Son went to an interview he brought a 1-page summary that was organized to list his academic interest, key achievements and awards, key activities and role, senior year courses and all AP courses, GPA, SAT and ACT scores. Some of this was also included in the application. If organized well, you can fit the most important information on one page so your interviewer can read it quickly and get a net of who you are. You could also send it ahead of time to help them read it at their leisure. If you’ve done any work specifically in your intended field, you may want to bring an example of that (report, presentation, published paper, photos, DVD, mp3’s, etc, depending on what it is) but it is not necessary if it is clearly spelled out in the resume.
