I'm a junior currently, and I've been studying for SAT. However, I know some colleges also look at ACT scores as well, but since most of the schools focus more on SAT scores, I haven't really heard a lot about ACT from my teachers or my friends. Thus, I'd like to know (1) when is the best time to take ACT? And (2) how many times should I take it? I know for SAT usually students will take it in the spring of their junior year and fall of their senior year. I don't know if it's the same way for ACT as well?
Thanks!

Take the ACT once before this school year ends and again at the beginning of your senior year. You can take it as many times as you like, but there’s really no benefit in doing it more than three (perhaps even two) unless you make a serious commitment to studying between test dates. Likewise, don’t take it after you receive a satisfying score.
