I am a sophomore right now. I got a 1390 on my PSAT and a 31 on my Pre-Act without any studying. I was thinking of doing both, but I don’t know which one to take first and when to take them. I also was wondering what the best way to improve my scores was.
Your PSAT next year will determine if you make National Merit. That can get some very good scholarships at a number of schools. For that reason I would practice for that. That would, in turn, also work to your advantage with the SAT.
When you make a Collegeboard account, there is an option to link your PSAT score to Khanacademy, it then let’s you know what you can work on to improve your score.
Some people are better on ER&W, others at math.
Depending on what math you are currently taking in school, your score will probably go up in that section, as you get into more advanced math.
There is also a handy app called “daily practice for new SAT” I think, where it gives you a question to do every day, you can scan the answer sheet to some practice tests and it will score it for you.
