When applying as international students

I heard that we need to send our secondary school transcripts...
does that apply to international students who attend international schools? Can't these students send only their HS transcripts?

i think so, their requirement: transcripts from all the schools u have attended before. btw, where r u from, ch4?? what unis are u applying?

If you are attending an international school that follows a US-type program, your HS transcript is your secondary school transcript.

I'm a international student attending a international school (US type) at China
So all I need is my HS transcript right?

If you will finish at least 10th , 11th, and 12th grade at that school, you should only need the transcript from that school. Some colleges/universities might want to see grades from 9th grade (or the equivalent) as well. Talk to the college placement counselor at your school. He or she should know exactly what you will have to do.

but we are all just in the middle of 12th grade right? how am i supposed to get that 12th grade transcript while the semester isn't done yet?

The HS will send transcripts that record your grades "to date". That is to say that the colleges/universities will look at your grades through the end of 11th grade, and whatever mid-term or mid-year grades you have so far for this year. After the school year ends and you have your final grades for 12th grade, you HS will send a copy of your final transcript to the college/university that has accepted you and that you plan to attend. If you slack off between now and the end of the year, and if your final grades aren't as good as the college/university that has accepted you expected, you might have your admission rescinded. This happens to students every single year, so keep working until the very end!

thanks y'all
