when applying to colleges from a prep school...

i understand that at most colleges, geographic distribution is a large aspect in the admissions process. if i go to a boarding school in massachusetts while my family lives in say, minnesota, meaning that my primary address will be in minnesota, will i be considered an applicant from minnesota or massachusetts by the admissions officers?

thanks:)

I am 95% sure it would be MA but can someone confirm?

idk, i think minnesota…but that would make you even more well rounded to say minnesota and that list your prep school somewhere in the app…makes you more well rounded

Your application will be read by the person who reads for MA, and you will be counted with the other MA applicants. Sorry.

Son went through the college application process, and that is the answer I always got when I asked.
