When applying, which GPA to use? CSU Transferable or Cumulative?

Hey, I had a quick question concerning my application.

I am recently attending a community college, and looking forward to transfering to a CSU this Fall. My question was, when applying, what GPA are you supposed to use? The one that is one yout actual transcript (cumulative)? or the "CSU Transferable Units" GPA?
The reason I ask, is because I already filled mine out, using the "CSU Transferable Units" GPA, since two transfer councilors/advisors told me to do so. So obviously, they are professional advisors, why would they be wrong?

However I got an email from CSU Fullerton, basically stating "we need to verify the cumulative GPA from all colleges attended...". I was kind of worried when I saw this...

Because basically, the "CSU GPA" only factors in the classes that are "CSU Transferable", so any classes that you take that are not CSU transferable, won't be counted in that GPA (usually like pre-req's and stuff). Where is the cumulative GPA, is literally every class you've taken at the college, the one thats on your transcript.

My CSU GPA was higher by half a point than my cumulative, so when my counselor told me i'm supposed to use it, I was excited since I now have a better chance of being accepted with a higher GPA.

But that email from CSU Fullerton has me second guessing. I was thinking CSUF meant "Cumulative" as in the GPA of ALL colleges attended combined...But thats just what am I hoping.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Bump…

They use the CSU transferable GPA.
