When are Chemistry labs due/collected?

Are chemistry (Chem 101) lab reports generally collected during lectures or labs?

Because I registered to have my Chem 053 lectures on thursdays and Chem 053 labs on wednesdays. So does this mean I'll do the lab experiments on wednesdays and hand them in on thursdays?! That'll only give me 1 day to finish the reports.

How does this work?

no each lab day will have their labs due on different days independent of the lecture

labs are due at the beginning of each lab session, so you have a week to do reports - lab midterms are during those lectures...

and nobody goes to lecture. seriously. unless it's a midterm...

So would it make any difference if I had my lab session on wednesday, and my lecture session on thursday? Is it in any way more convenient to have the lab before the lecture?

nope, no difference, since the lecture covers the material for the next week's lab

again, most people don't go to lecture unless it's a midterm, because very little is usually gained from the lecture material (a longer overview of what's given in the lab material provided)

does this apply to biol 101 as well?

yes, and there's also no lab-specific lecture for bio labs

Wait, but how does that make sense? Some people in the thursday lecture section are bound to have the lab portion on friday. And if other students in the lecture have the lab portion on wednesday or before, what topics would the professor teach?

And what if some people take both the lecture and the lab portion on the same day?

labs begin the week after the first lectures, so yeah - the lectures are a week ahead, material-wise, as the labs.

and like i said, maybe 10-20% of all enrolled students go to lab lectures at the chem 053 / 054 level.
