Thanks.

When are RD decisions available? Will they be available on TAMS?

Thanks.

I’ve heard they’re on TAMS around late afternoon on the 31st. I could be wrong though…

i’ve heard the same… eek :)

Are they mailed out on the 31st as well?

^ Probably.

I think last year they got it earlier. I could be mistaken, though.

Earlier? That would be awesome… I really just want to know whether I got into Tufts or not.

I thought they won’t put up the decision till april. 1st…if it’s really 31st 5pm. EST, I really need to handle a lot that afternoon…all the results are coming out that afternoon.

If I remember correctly, decisions were online at @ 3 PM on March 31. This was also “Ivy Decision Day” and they posted at @ 5 PM. It was a lot to be prepared for and process all on the same day. I have often wondered if there is a strategy for Tufts decisions to be released on the same day as the ivies. Or is it just a matter of coinicidence?

Regardless, Good Luck to all! It will be over soon. And then the real fun/agonizing begins: choosing a college! But I will say that it will feel incredibly good to be in the drivers’ seat after all the waiting!!

^ i agree with you! i can’t wait to be over…

RE; Post #8. Sorry. I meant to say that it will feel good for YOU all to be “in the drivers seat,” once decisions are posted/mailed. My D is already at Tufts and I do remember the great feeling she had about finally being the one making the decision about her own future, as opposed to the Ad Coms.

I do not have a senior high school this year. I do, however, have a freshman son in high school, so there’s a little time before the process starts all over again! I can tell already it will be a different road…

This again? :-P

Good luck, everyone!

Does this mean the decisions are the 31st or the 1st?

Admissions Dan, any chance you could shed some light on this? We’ve waited over a week since you’re last comment. Any new information you could let us in on? We’re dying here!

No chance at all.

I appreciate the excitement/anxiety around decisions, but all this angst over the specific date/time of release isn’t healthy or helpful. Enjoy your senior years; don’t let admissions decisions become a defining features of last couple months of high school.

By the way, How many students Tufts is going to accept this year? I heard that the total number of applicants for this year is around 16000 and there had been about 12% rise in the Early decision 1 acceptances.

^^ Dan would be able to answer that Bob.

This topic below is very interesting. But one thing that puzzled me a little is why so little number of students are attending Tufts than any other schools on that category!!!

[The New York Times > Week in Review > Image > Collegiate Matchups: Predicting Student Choices](The New York Times > Week in Review > Image > Collegiate Matchups: Predicting Student Choices)

^ That chart is notorious throughout CC, and is often a tool used to disparage Tufts. Honestly, there are individual reasons for each college - one very important being financial aid and tuition costs. UCLA and UVA are in-state schools that are able to offer in-state tuition, and that’s just one example. Prestige (which is relative) is another… so is fit.

It doesn’t mean that there aren’t kids out there like me who are DYING to attend Tufts :p

^^ You telling me. I want to attend Tufts soo Bad but only thing that’s getting me worried is my horrible SAT score and also the number of qualified applicants at Tufts. I often regret why why I didn’t apply for ED1 or ED2.

**SIGH*

does anyone know the date they will put them up online??
