Whether it’s today or tomorrow, I just want to say it’s been a pleasure waiting for it with you all and best of luck to you all in your future endeavors.

if they do give us our decisions tonight, you guys know if they’ll email us or just post it on our application? just wondering

is the housing link thing really a sign of anything?
cause i didn’t see it on my status.
and i have a 3.87 unweighted and a 1420 m/r SAT…
just saying…

Let me tell you guys one thing. My daughter also applied to UNC and UVA. Both of them also were saying that they were going to release the Early Action decisions at the end of January, but they came with the decisions much earlier. Plus, when you called the admissions office they told when it will be posted exactly.

In my opinion, UMD handled this horribly. When you call the Admission Office, only students are answering. You cannot even talk to any admissions officeres. UMD really left a bad taste in my mouth.

@nygiants2012 I completely agree, it’s really a mess. No reason to make students wait this long, when schools I applied to at the same time got back to me in December (Northeastern on the 15th…46 days ago already). Just hoping that 24 hours from now, this will all be in the past…good luck to everyone.

amen nygiants. and for that…UMD should accept more people like me with average stats(:

I posted this in another thread… My dad works at umd and he called as I only hacve internet acess in the hospital for today and the hguy told my dad I got in and decsions would be released today or tomorrow at 4:30

UM is doing the best they can. If it’s true that they’re having server issues, then it’s not their fault decisions are coming later than you want. We’re all anxious, but they did say late January. It’s not right to be ragging on them for a “late” reveal. Give them a break, they’re doing the best they can.

Since they are having server issues will they still be able to send them out tomorrow? perhaps will they be able to send tonight if the server is fixed?

My friend’s dad also works at UMD, apparently the decisions are already MAILED out on Friday… it should arrive tuesday… so watch out for the mailman tomorrow. I also heard the online decision will be out tomorrow 5 P.M

Relax people. Just because some universities release theirs early doesn’t mean Maryland has to. They say January 31 and that’s when we should expect it. That’s what they put as their official notification date for priority action on the Common Data Set.

how legitimate is it that snail mail was sent out on Friday? so far all of my decisions for other schools have been posted online

I thought they did their notifications only through the website?

I have a friend at UMD that works for student accounts and said that decisions were mailed out friday

We still haven’t heard from Virginia Tech (they say April 1st) and University of Delaware (they say March 15)

Just got a text from a friend at UMD, who says his friend in the admissions office said 4:30 tomorrow for decisions. Take from that what you will…

proudmom1313, we are in the same boat. My daughter hears back from 2 of her colleges on March 31st.

Virginia Tech will not tell students until April 1. It will be posted online.

Let’s stop putting a spin around this issue. UMD has handled whole thing very badly compared to some other state schools like UNC and UVA. Maybe, that is the reason that they are not in the same league with UNC and UVA.

You call their admissions office and can talk to only Work-Study students. They don’t let you talk to Admissions Officers. And, these students don’t know what they are talking about. Today, one of them told me that the decision will come early February. Then, I said “what?” You guys told “end of this month” last week. Then, he turned around and told me that early February is still this week which is the end of month. I was speechless…

S got a post card on Sat that was dated Friday. It is handwriting and invites to attend classes and meet faculties on campus.
