I'm just wondering when they start mailing them out and when I should start checking my inbox excessively daily to find out news. Do they mail out decisions by mail and email?

I think that the decisions, if you signed up to be notified by email is March 31st, however by mail, I think it possibly take a little longer.

E-mail notifications are being sent on April 1st. The Harvard Admissions website says March 31st because they haven’t updated it since last year (they typed it as “Tuesday March 31st” when March 31st is on a Wednesday this year). An recent article in the Crimson said it would be April 1st. Notifications by mail are being done near that time as well.

Yes, it is official - April 1 at 5:00 EST with financial aid notification (in the event of an acceptance) sent shortly thereafter.

Were any “likely letters” sent out for Harvard?

What are those by the way.

^ Some likely letters were sent out (idk how many though so don’t ask). They essentially say that you should expect an admission letter in April. They’re usually given to Recruited Athletes and Internationals (as many already have offers from non-US schools) but not all are.

oh great - I was freaking out that I didn’t get a likely-letter :P
