When are decisions posted?

I doubt frivolously calling and asking if you're accepted is grounds for revoking your admission.

I wonder if I can hold my breath until Saturday...

That is woeful of Swarthmore to issue a press release regarding stats when students haven't even found out whether they are in yet. My D is very disappointed not to see our country represented, therefore indirectly telling her she was rejected. Shame on you, Swarthmore! These applicants worked hard and deserve better.

Oh goodness. is nervous

And also, how did you find out it was mailed today?

i called them earlier today to check to see if the posts about admissions notifications coming out today were true. they definitely are. i love college confidential.. someone always finds out the true time XD

=P well then let's hope it gets to NJ by Saturday... along with my Williams decision?

Pretty please, O Gods of College Mail?

rotfl. i'm waiting for swarthmore, amherst, and williams. hopefully williams comes tomo since i read it was postmarked the 25th.. amherst and swarthmore probably sat.. maybe vassar also? then vandy and cornell on mon and lastly, pomona >.>" i'm so excited, nervous, scared, all at the same time lol

I'm so scared...my fate is probably in the mail right now ><

haha Adaman, I think so! at least Uchicago, kenyon, and swarthmore?

i can't wait-- this is the last school for me to hear from!!!

i called and they don't give out decisions over the phone until next week, but letters were definitely sent yesterday.

good lord..are they emailing intls??? i wonder :(

Ausmum--I would also agree that is very unfortunate for Swarthmore to have released such a detailed "admissions profile" before decisions have even been received (it seems like it has happened this year at a couple of schools). But, keep the faith--it seems from your other posts that you are American expats living abroad, and in that case, I don't believe your daughter would be counted as coming from your country of residence, but from the US.

I just got my letter today (I only live a couple minutes away from Swarthmore). Rejected. :(

We live very close as well and my daughter just got her rejection letter. She is devastated so far:
Swarthmore - rejected
GW - rejected
Brandeis - waitlisted
Still waiting on Bowdoin, Amherst and Emory.
She got into her safety schools, Ursinus and Goucher, but doesn't want to go to either.

Ugggh. I hate this part of college notification day. I think all parents feel a little twinge for every rejection letter.

Good luck to everyone. Odds are that everything will work out the way it is meant to work out!

just got an email- rejected :(

got an email - ACCEPTED!!! :D This is such a suprise! Now I'm going to have a horrible time trying to decide between Swarthmore and Grinnell (provided Swat's aid package is comparable to Grinnell's).

Thanks, interesteddad. It is so hard to take when your daughter is crying her eyes out, asking why she worked so hard in high school for nothing. I guess we overshot the schools she applied to. Not enough in the middle.

people who got emails...are you international applicants?

are you a US applicant?
