Does Deerfield still send mail? Or is it email now?

Last year Deerfield sent acceptance package (including FA info) via Fed Ex (or the like) to arrive on the standard notification date (M10). Wait list or rejection letters were sent via snail mail.

It may be different this year. Contact Deerfield directly for the most accurate and up-to-date notification process.

Good luck!

@pops2017 i thought Deerfield sent everything snail mail? Has it always been like that ^ or did they just change it?

For at least the last few years, it was as Pops said (acceptance package express on day of, rejections/WL by snail nail). You should check about this year, though-- some schools seem to be doing more on line this year.

This what was said in the confirmation e-mail about the application being complete “The Admission Committee will be meeting throughout January and February to evaluate applications and make decisions. You will hear from us via email on March 10, our admission notification date.” Hope, this helps.

@rungirl: I don’t know how Deerfield notified applicants in the past or how they will notify applicants this year. I only know how they did it last year.

Good luck!

Refer to stargirl3’s spreadsheet in the boarding school notifications thread.

WOOHOO! I’M FAMOUS!

Haha yes you are.

Can you link the thread? I can’t find it. Also, I’m an international applicant though

Here’s the spreadsheet: <a href=“College Confidential Prep School Decisions 2015 - Google Sheets”>http://■■■■■■■.com/CCprepschooldecisions2014

@saylty I’m an international applicant too and I think we’re supposed to just convert EST to whatever timezone we’re in. Good luck!
Edit: oops sorry I realised this is Deerfield we’re talking about- I guess that^ wasn’t much help and I’ll just put my head into my arms and… ok
