I'm sorry if this has been asked before. I'm just wondering if its Dec 15, or earlier. I believe last year, Columbia postmarked them Dec. 8th or something.

Thanks! :)

i think postmarked around DEC12-13

I've heard Dec. 13.

I heard December 13-14 haha

last year was december 13th...this year will probably be the same

So when do you think someone in NJ would get their decision?
Also, do we get our decisions emailed to us? Or is it definitely going to be by mail first.

NJ people usually get it earlier just because they're closer, don't they?

hahah can't we call to find out decisions also?
Let's all just call on December 15. =P

wasn't greco from NJ or somwhere really close?

yeah...i am going nuts!!!

i think the earliest we can call is the 16th, no?

how many of ya'll aren't going to school?

i'm thinking about skipping the 15th. not sure though, and i probably will end up going...

I'll probably call home from school every day from like the 12th-15th, and if it arrived, I'll mysteriously develop a 'bad headache'. I told my dad not to open it, as I dont want him to either be upset a whole day, or if I did get in, I want to be the one to first open it. :D

What about everyone else? Would you let your parents open it first and tell you? Or would you rather open it yourselves and find out yourselves, even if you find out a little later?

no way would i let my parents open it!! i definitely agree with you, BD.

but really, i wish that they would put decisions online. then i could check at school. also, if there really are separate "rounds" where many are rejected/deferred, then i wish they would inform them that they are rejected online or something. I think that would make a lot of sense because then the deferrees & rejectees can work on their other apps.

i've actually shouted a few times at my parents not to open my mail, i guess its just a pet peeve of mine...if the letter comes and im not home, i dont think they'll open it

haha It won't matter if they open it or not because even if they SEE it, they'll know (the whole big envelope/small envelope deal)

So I've told my parents to not check the mail that whole week =)

i told my dad (who is home in the middle of the day) that ifs it a big envelope he can open/confirm acceptance and come find me at school, if small, i dont want to know until i get home

hehe you're right, that is a better idea.
They should go check to see if it's a big envelope.
And if it is, come to school and tell me =P

but that way if your dad doesn't come to school you know its not good...

or that the mail is slow---real possibility when it takes like 4 days for school report cards to get here

hmmm true.
grrr anyone know a better plan that we could all use? lol

::edit::
eventer is also right. When my own school sends me mail, it takes like a week to get here.
