I fully expect the email about the notification date to be in my inbox when I wake up tomorrow... if not, I'm going to think something is up. Maybe Dartmouth has decided to accept all EDers? I mean, they know how many kids are graduating this year, and the ones that apply ED are clearly the most interested in Dartmouth.... And other colleges have chosen classes to give away iPods to and other things. How sweet would that be? Haha, as if.

i was thinking the same thing (about being notified tomorrow)

or maybe we won't be notified at all about the date :0! i expect to find out on thursday, the 11th.

Charlie: My two kids are bemoaning the fact that their uncle and aunt now have facebook and have asked to "friend" them. Talk about teen mortification? My 15 yr old is weirded out completely.

Hohum.. i don't think anyone on this site has bemoaned the admissions process for Dartmouth, but their having a little anxiety -- which is absolutely normal and I am sure Adcom knows these things. If it weren't, the Time and Newsweek, etc wouldnt fill their education pages with just how much there is to be anxious about! All I know is that there are a lot of overly qualified people on this board, especially academically. And like I've said from the get go, you are in good company if you get in and good company if you don't.

I don't think that they read this site. And if they did, it's unclear if that would help or hurt you! CCers have a pretty high acceptance rate! (although it's a very qualified sample of students).

We are OFFICIALLY the last Ivy ED hopefuls to know about our decision date. Columbia just found out. So now the tally is:
- Columbia: Thursday 12/11
- Brown: Thursday 12/11
- Cornell: Thursday 12/11
- UPenn: Friday 12/12
- Yale: Monday 12/15

This is agitating!

Hey from the Columbia Board.

Was going to give you guys an update. But I see somebody already has. I feel bad for you guys now, since I know you were waiting as we were for the email that I am now happily seeing in my inbox.

Although, it's also very nervewracking to know we're getting it Thursday.

Good luck though, I'm sure you'll get an email soon.

(Was Yale confirmed as Monday?)

Just confirmed with admissions. Email in a few days, descsisions on or before Friday. Nervous.

Really? That's so exciting/scary. It's odd that they're emailing us literally days before the decisions, but I'm not complaining!

(this is weird, it posted above Charlie135's post)

So... a few days could be the day OF decisions! We might not know until that day? Wow, this is going to super stressful.

This is an understatement. Around here, it is the difference between having a really relaxed and super exciting Christmas season (and so much easier in the gift giving dept) or one filled with S all anxious and frantically writing to get all the other apps done. <groan></groan>

No, no, I know what you mean. Christmas presents all depend on Dartmouth's decision, and so does my sanity.

It's official.

Wednesday 12/10, 4PM Eastern.

I knowwwwwwwwwwww! I just checked! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

OH. MY. GAWD.

I've been checking my banner student for so long that I never expected it to actually... change.

OH. MY. GAWD. TWO DAYS!!!!

How many days before the decision do they usually send the email? It's already Monday, so getting decisions back Wednesday/Thursday seems highly unlikely, unless one day notice is typical.

I'm speechless.

OH MY GODDDDDDDDDDD

I'm so glad it isn't the 11th because I have dental work scheduled for 4:50 then ahha. But this is insanity!

ahh i cannot believe it is on weds! i was hoping to get it by friday but weds is sooo soon! good luck to all

Oh my gosh.. and THANK YOU OrigP for posting the note. I dont have access to my son's email (That would be creepy) and while I guess I could locate the exact password stuff for banner page... it's so not my place. However, I am so excited for ALL of you!! Seriously. Weds. !! Can you believe it? 4pm.. is that EST?

I am so glad it's weds. Semester finals are next week and there's a big enough time gap to get over the news either way -- either over the moon or digging a grave. I feel paralyzed FOR S. Thing is, if I don't tell him, he wouldn't have a clue unless they sent him an email saying banner is updated. Not sure he knows anyone as obsessive as people can be on here (his mom included!) for him to hear anything different! :)

Speaking of which.... now that you know the day and date, do you just fall into pensive silence or keep obsessing?!?!

I think I'm going to be very calm, right up until I'm on the bus home (3:30ish)... Wednesday was a bit of a shock for me and I'm not sure what to think. I was definitely expecting Thursday or later.
