I applied Fin. Aid and was accepted. Does anyone know when the Fin. Aid packages are sent out?

how do you know youre going to get financial aid?

I think it comes with the full admission package in the mail this week, but I'm by no means sure of that.

I didnt get the full package in the mail today, probably tomorrow..

I got the pack with my admission letter and everything, but all they said was that Fin. Aid decisions would be sent seperately.

What was in the package? I'm still waiting on mine...

The normal admission package is some big blue thing with shiny paper. You open it and one of side is your acceptance letter (it doesn't even start with "Congratulations"!:-(), then in the middle fold you've got another letter with details about Colonial Inauguration thingy (I can't go :() and then another folder thing with a picture of George Washington with a piece of paper inside (can't remember what it says in there).

To those that have gotten them, where do you live and what's your last initial? I'm a W in Missouri, so I'm not optimistic about getting it anytime soon.

A in Missouri, havnt gotten ne fancy paper work yet

I got it on the Monday after they came out and I live in Switzerland. lol. They sent mine DHL though, special delivery. so THAT'S where the tuition money goes! :o

Fin Aid should be out by the end of the month apperently. I hear they're reviewing it now.

i got my acceptance packet yesterday. it was a big blue folder with the letter on the inside of the cover and then basic info for all incoming freshmen. theres also a big picture of george washington on a folder with an envelope and a letter saying that you must send the 800 dollar fee by january 16 to secure your place at gw. hopefully we'll know about financial aid soon.

Do you also keep opening the blue booklet thing to make sure it's real? :D

haha....i like looking at the picture of george washnington and my letter so yea i guess i open it every now and then...im waiting on financial aid i cant wait to find out

Same here.
I really hope I get something. Fingers crossed.
I don't want to have to get a job when I'm supposed to be concentrating on making the most of my college experience and finishing a semester ish early :S:S:S:S

yea im looking at about 29 hours heading in maybe if i went to summer school one year i could finish in 3 years...that would be really nice to get a jump start on grad school...

Yeah, and it would save 50'000 dollars! :D
I'm hoping to get some credit for the extra year of high school in Switzerland.
