Does anyone know when the grades for Fall 2014 will be posted on Oasis? After seven semesters, you would think that I would have this figured out, but I don't.

I think they are up. My D was talking about her grades.

No they aren’t posted yet. DS has received 4 of 6 from blackboard but two classes don’t use blackboard!

@"NC Mom" … Grades are now posted in Completed Course Summary on OASIS. I hope you hear good news.

Thanks RandonNewGuy! I just found them too! Yes, they were good news for DS! He is happy! One semester to go!

I can feel that. I’m down to my final 15 units as well.

Congrats. And thanks for the heads up. We saw the grades yesterday. Happy dancing all around! :-)

FYI, grades are posted on OASIS 7 days after the last day of finals.

Interesting that parents are asking about grade postings, are parent’s still monitoring their kids grades in college? S may tell me what they are or what they expect to get, sure, there may be discussion about it, but I would never go looking for them. Even if we are paying for college, it is their life now. But we never ever went on those home work/grade tracking systems in middle or high school either, so maybe we are minority. Or perhaps parent is just asking for their S.

blueskies2day- I don’t monitor my DS’s grades. I have never been on his blackboard, but I do have access to his myUSC account, with his permission of course. I have helped him register for classes when his registration time conflicted with a class. I also pay his bill through his account instead of my own guest account. I do the same for my DD who is at a different university. My children willingly share this information with me. DS was concerned about a particular grade. Ironically the exam was on the first day of exams and the professor doesn’t post any grades so he was anxious to get it. Since the university did not alert the kids as to when they would be posted, I was asking to see if anyone here knew! Thanks psydent for the clarification. DD’s university posts 48 hours after the last exam.

My kid was looking while home, took a screen shot, showed us.

Like NC Mom I have access to the account, don’t go on except to monitor the bills since those aren’t mailed home. I’m lucky to have a kid who “shares” and trusts me. I don’t snoop at the other stuff.

But let’s be honest here - since I have seen parents “blind sided” including one at my hubby’s university that took money for tuition not having told “parents” she’d been kicked out two semesters earlier. I’ve been pretty vocal about helicopter parents who can’t let go, but I do think there isn’t anything wrong about asking about grades and wondering about the outcome when we’re still bearing primary responsibility for the tuition and ancillary costs.
