The quarter ended about a week ago. So when should we expect our final grades to come out? Is it really that hard for these professors to run the scantrons through a machine, then input the grades...?

It takes a while, last year, my grades werent released until last week of break

they are usually released within next couple of days for sci majors…

ya it is hard for these profs to run scantrons thru the machines and input the grades…the college chicks still have to sleep with them and get grades changed…thats why its takin so long

What are these classes that use scantrons for finals? I haven’t used scantrons for tests since high school.

From URSA:

^^^ Doesn’t mean crap. A professor can procrastinate as long as he/she wants.

This is the most work they really do all quarter, since a good majority of them just regurgitate the same spiel year after year.

Usually they’ll be released exactly a week after the final for that class.

Are the grades gonna be posted in URSA, or the grades section of the study list,…or both? Sorry, i’m new.

hi usually on the study list and ursa both…first check the study list under grades…ur grades will first show up on study list before ursa…ursa is more like an official thing

^^^ Both. First, your grade will be posted to MyUCLA as an “unofficial MYUCLA Gradebook grade” or something to that effect. A day or two later, it will be on URSA, your DPR, all that jazz.

Do professors usually respond to email requests regarding our grade on the final? Do they even check their emails during break?

Depends on the professor, but generally yes.

they usually don’t respond because they are busy sleeping with the college chicks who need their grades changed…HOWEVER make sure that u respond quickly…most of them are jerks and wont change ur grade if u need it…

But should we contact the professors themselves or the TA’s who actually gave us our grade. It is the case in many classes that the TA’s do all of the grading, without much input from the professor

Seems like you would know best … it would depend on the structure of the class and the nature of your question.

I’d just send an e-mail to both the TA and professor. In the worst case they’d just say contact someone else for the grade.

honestly, how long does it take Pires to put up our final class grade for LS 1? We took the final 2 weeks ago, and it took her a week just to put up our grades for the final exam WHICH WAS ALL ON A SCANTRON. And now its almost been a week since she posted the grades from our final exam, and we still don’t have a final class grade. And its not like we can calculate it ourselves since there probably will be a curve.
