Are interviews usually assigned after you have completed your online application and teacher recommendation, or are they assigned once you have indicated an interest in Princeton?

From the website:

“Interview. Depending on availability, once you have applied, you may be invited to interview with a member of one of our Princeton Alumni Schools Committees. If so, we encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity. Interviews take place after the Admission Office has received your application. Many Princeton Alumni Schools Committees have enough volunteers to offer every applicant an interview. As the interview is not a required element of the application, you will not be at a disadvantage if an interview is not available in your area. We do not offer on-campus interviews.”

I got my interview in January? maybe early february? but i did not receive word of it until after christmas, that im sure of.

My daughter, class of 2012, was contacted about the interview on Dec 25. The interview took place in early Jan.

They wait until the entire application is complete before they set up an interview.

Are interviews assigned according to your current mailing address or permanent address? Right not I’m residing in Singapore but I’ll be returning to my own country soon. I’m worried that they will contact me for interviews in Singapore while I’m away…
