Hello! Just wanted to know when the penn preview day's are for newly admitted ED students.

bump… :)

That information should have been with all the acceptance information. They have a special session for ED students which is more like an orientation program than them trying to woo potential acceptees since ED students are already committed. It was a really fun day last year.

I don’t see a Preview Day date listed in the acceptance packet…

If I remembered correctly, you should check Penn Portal again (where you got your acceptance online) after Penn releases RD decisions. There will be new links on the left hand bar one of which would be to join Penn Previews. Click that box and it will tell you the dates and how to register. This was how it was last year so I assume it will be no different.

Great! I just wasn’t sure when or where to check, thanks for clearing it up!

Just in case anyone is still wondering I just got an email informing me that preview days for ED students will be either Feb 7th or Feb 21st!

Yes. Separate preview days for ed students this year. But no overnights for ED students! Also no tours of residences or dorms!

What information on housing will we receive?

During the afternoon portion of the event, representatives from Penn Residential Services will be on hand to discuss and showcase the different housing options they provide as well as different residential programs. Due to safety and security concerns of current students and residents, we are not able to offer tours of residences or dorms.

My son was not happy that there are no dorm/housing tours…So much so that he doesn’t really want to attend…

^ I agree that that’s a mistake. For the single-day Penn Preview Days in the past, they always included a college house tour, allowing students to choose one of several tours that each included 3 college houses (so students could pick a group of 3 in which they were interested). Too be fair to the accepted ED applicants, they should give them the same opportunity to see the inside of some of the college houses that the RD applicants will be given. I suspect that’s an oversight that will be remedied at some point, especially if they get enough complaints from accepted ED students.
