When are the final decisions sent?

I applied Jan 16th, and haven't heard from them yet. Does this mean I am rejected? When they send decisions in april, are those only rejections? Or are acceptance mixed in to the april decisions as well? thanks

Nope, it doesn't mean you're rejected. They will also send acceptances in april as well as waitlists. So, hopefully, by april 1st you'll get a response and keep checking your wolverine access.

I think the final responses are mailed mid-april...

thanks guys!

Shoulda applied ER :)

not necessarily...dd was ED and was deferred before Xmas...now still waiting...3.8 WGpa at very competitive highschool, many honors and 4 AP classes, NMFinalist, 2100 SAT/32 ACT...out of state...great essay writer (actually won a Medalist Scholarship from Ohio State's essay Maximus Competition). sigh....

one more question...is it possible that they can run out of space in LSA because of rolling admissions and just reject the rest of the applicants?

thanks for all your help btw

Yes they can do that since its rolling but they probably tend to keep a few spaces though for. The rule for rolling admissions is, 'the earlier you apply the higher your chances'.

ddd928: I was referring to the OP who said he applied 1/16. It doesn’t mean you will get accepted, but it means that you’ve got a much better shot. It seems only the fantasticly amazing applicants are the ones that get in when they apply super late. Applying ER is the best way to maximize your chances of getting in. You did that and got deferred, which there’s nothing you can do about it, but a deferral is better than a rejection, that’s for sure.

BTW, I got in (with 10k/yr scholarship) with similar stats to your daughter except my courseload was just harder (10 AP’s), so there’s definitely a good chance for her. Heck, maybe she’ll get my spot as I will not be attending (regrettably).

best of luck.

I applied 12/17 and still have not heard from UMich. Last year, my friend who applied to UMich received no decisions whatsoever from the school at all.

Does this mean it’s gonna be alright? I do not want to get into the same situation.

^ No reply??? That is seriously scary. I’m in the same boat as you.

if that happens to me, i will call the admission office and fire at them!!! Their admission service really sucks!

If you have not heard anything, find some excuse to call or chat on-line. That way you know someone will be checking on your file and confirming they have all the information they need to make the decision. I contacted admissions via a chat session to confirm they received my fall grades. I was accepted a day or two after that. I could just be coincidence, but it doesn’t hurt to try.

right i will try that tomorrow!

what is the link to chat online? Thanks

I need to hear from Ross but they said they are still reviewing my app. This sucks because I really need to know the decision so I can know whether I’m going there or not…I can’t wait til mid-April. gahhhhhhh
