Does anyone know precisely what day the decisions will be mailed?
Also, for internationals, when can we expect our decisions?

A friend of mine is in contact with the cross country coach and he says they don't actually mail them till Wednesday. If that's true, I expect to get it Thursday or Friday (I'm pretty close to Chicago). I don't know if that's true, though - he's not an admissions guy. That Newsweek article said they mailed it Dec 11, and it was from 1999 and Dec 11 was also a Saturday that year. So they could have mailed it yesterday.

I'm trying not to think about it but I would expect it to get to me by Wednesday. I'm in Indianapolis so I'm moderately close, internationals prolly have to wait up to another week.

same as Indy.

most likely wednesday. I also live in a city (coughes) in the south.

chicagonobel, you and I have similar stats, what are program are you looking at doing at chicago?

probably psycology and then go to their business school...and **** with peoples mind......or true classic chemistry

u?

i'd hate to find out my SATII scores before the EA decisions... ;)

haha im really unsure, i thought i would go and study economics, but my interviewer basically told me that i HAVE to come and study philosophy

so i guess it's a good thing that he wants me to come, although I never would have thought i'd focus on something that seems so.... useless... at times at least

"useless" ?

Indytukcer...you are one lucky fellow, since you included "at times at least".

Or else we chicago nerds would have confounded you and tortured you till you beg to hear plato, aristotle, descartes, hagel and Nietzsche for the rest of your life...on the side note, to make things faster, we shall use the latest technology in brain washing:)

Hagel = Hegel ;)

I'm an ass, what can I say? ;)

haha you're gonna put me through a clockwork orange scenario & brainwash me? btw, im not a fellow

I said useless because I mean, in TOK we spend weeks just nitpicking our definition of knowledge... anybody would get sick of hearing "justified true belief" after that long

haha...true, true...I am just picking on you, indy.

fakesnake:

You are an ass:)

anyways, chicagonobel, do you really plan to go and be a "chicago nerd"? A title with the word nerd in it doesnt seem all that attractive...

haha...quite true.

When you think about this, what really differentiates a "cool" person from a "nerd"?

conformity, to a degree. i suppose more what i'm asking is whether or not you are a "stay at the library on a friday night" type of person or a "enjoy the occasional normal college friday night" type of person

I "enjoy the occasional (?) normal college friday night" I joined the pack of wolves who party whenever possible. Only have one life to live, my friend.

They emailed me asking for my parents W2 forms and they said they needed to begin creating my financial aid packet for 2005-06 academic year. they also said that they are aiming to send them out in time for us to recieve decisions by the week of the 20th. Guessing the beginning of that week is their safe bet, maybe sooner. I don't know what the W2 things means, is this a good thing that they want to make me a folder?

Let's put it this way: colleges don't create financial aid packets unless you're accepted.

I got the W-2 e-mail as well, but, um...My father called about it to tell them that the W2 wasn't available yet, and all they told him was that that was fine.

Am I worried now? Fuc yes.
