When can I get my final financial aid package?

I will attend Vandy this fall! Yay!!! Here is the thing, the IDOC shows that my documents have been available to Vandy since Apr.15, but my appVU portal shows that they have not been received. Should I be worried about this and send an e-mail to the office about the situation or is it still early? And Vandy states that they will meet 100% of the demonstrated financial need of their accepted students, does it mean that they will only help to cover the tuition?

I was having the same concern. I got admitted off the wait list on Saturday and was concerned because I got the same IDOCs message that Vanderbilt hadn’t received them even though my IDOCs account showed that I had sent them to Vanderbilt a few months ago. I actually emailed someone about it but before they could respond my financial aid tab was updated to display a “reward" tab that showed my financial aid package, so I think it’s just a message they show you whole they’re finishing up admitting you or something. The package they gave me was actually incredibly generous and far more than I actually expected. Hope this helps!

@collegeignorant The current package I got, together with the EFC, is just enough to cover the tuition. Is you package like this? Or does it have some extra money to cover other fee?

Financial aid can range anywhere from zero to the full cost of attendance (something like 64,000). How much you receive depends on your finances. After paying for tuition, Vandy can cover your meal plan, housing, various fees, and even pay for books and a computer should your finances demonstrate the need.

The total cost of attendance minus the amount you received in grants is your EFC as calculated by Vanderbilt. This is not the same as the EFC from FAFSA.

@Pancaked‌ Thanks. That’s really helpful.
