Hello, I am currently a freshman at Boston University, but I had originally hoped to get into Stern. Unfortunately I was rejected. Anyway, I may fall in love with my school and not want to leave, but assuming I dont, when can I transfer to NYU? Can I do it after a semester or do I have to wait a full year? Also I know Stern is a very competitive school, but how hard is it to transfer? What Do I need grade wise?

This is what bothered me about Boston U - during my visit to campus, I met 4 students - in one afternoon - who informed me the only reason they decided to attend B.U is because they were rejected from NYU and hoped to transfer ASAP. Seriously, is B.U that bad of a school? I used to like it a lot.

But anyway, I think you can transfer to NYU after 1 year, not a semester. Stern is extremely competitive, and you should check what their transfer policy is. Grade wise, you need top grades. Aim for the highest gpa possible, the higher, the better and show a strong interest.
