When can Michigan go back to the days when we have field generals with a brain?

Shane Morris should just start now.
Going from a brain-dead armpunt to another brain-dead armpunt.

In his defense, Devin Gardner graduated in 3 years.

Furthermore, he will get it together. The game is NOT over yet.

Also, Denard Robinson is a stud. People seem to forget he was was a Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year and an All-American.

Watching and feeling depressed.

People, calm down. Devin Gardner will get it together.

“In his defense, Devin Gardner graduated in 3 years.”
Oh please… people need to stop pretending this is a real academic achievement. Graduating in 3 years while staying on campus every summer doing an underwater basketweaving major ahem i mean Afro-American and African Studies LOL! is not the definition of intelligence. This is a kid who had a 3.1 gpa and 18 ACT in high school. That kind of stats puts you at the bottom 25% of Wayne State’s incoming freshman class.

Also, Robinson was voted all-american as a running back… QB he is not. You need a certain level of intelligence and cognitive power to be a real QB, especially against real defenses. Unfortunately both armpunts do not possess that.

i am losing count of the idiotic decisions/actions from the QB position.

Any way this season goes Al Borges won’t be OC next season.

Borges is doing a decent job from a play calling perspective. Dumb QBs he has had in his tenure just can’t comprehend even the simplest concepts.
The current armpunt plays QB like how I play NCAA 2011 with Terrell Pryor. Just keeps running backwards trying to outrun the defenders in pursuit then throw the ball back across the shoulder.

Jim Harbaugh used to keep running backwards trying to outrun the defenders in pursuit. He just had better results.

"Borges is doing a decent job from a play calling perspective. Dumb QBs he has had in his tenure just can’t comprehend even the simplest concepts. "

Wow, let’s not be harsh. The QB’s in his tenure have also made some incredible and brilliant plays as well. Everybody mistakes, from time, including you.

oh and of course we now have the michigan version of the Sanchez butt fumble.

“The QB’s in his tenure have also made some incredible and brilliant plays as well.”
Of which 90% of your referred plays involve outrunning defenses of inferior opponents to the edge and taking off. Or make horrible throws (or armpunts) to the direction of Hemingway (and gallon to a certain degree) and pray. No brains involved. Kudos to Borges for calling these plays.

“Everybody mistakes, from time, including you.”
I don’t. Please do not speak for me.

Shane Morris does not yet have the necessary knowledge to run our offense. Gardner is not playing, well, but the main problem is at WR (not getting open) and OL (very mediocre play). It will be interesting to see how this team evolves (or deteriorates) during the Big 10 season. I have to say, we are not looking good. I am guessing a 3-5 or 4-4 league record unless we seriously improve along the lines and at WR and DB.

“Everybody mistakes, from time, including you.”

Yes you do.

“i am losing count of the idiotic decisions/actions from the QB position.”

You’re supposed to start a sentence with a capital letter.

“Kudos to Borges for calling these plays.”

There is no verb in the above “sentence.”

According to dictionary.com, a mistake is

“an error in action, calculation, opinion, or judgment caused by poor reasoning, carelessness, insufficient knowledge, etc.”

You’re actions were typing sentences that contain errors.

It looks like you do make mistakes.

I make mistakes too, but I do not deny that.

At least Fitz rushed for over 100 yards and 2 TDs, averaging 5 yards per carry. Now if we could get some pass protection, and if only our WRs could get open! This team has a long, looooong way to go. I was willing to overlook last week’s game as a one-off brain fart. But two games in a row is a trend. Each of the Big 10 teams we are playing this season would beat Akron or Connecticut with ease. If we do not improve, we will have a losing season. Even if we improve only slightly, we are still looking at 7-5 season. For us to go better than 8-4, we need to improve big time!

The “errors” you pointed out are not caused by poor reasoning, carelessness or insufficient knowledge, but rather an intention to not conform to the standards required in formal writing when commenting on a forum. “Mistake” implies erring intentionally.Try again.

I do not make mistakes.

Alexandre, calm down.

Michigan will be fine. It doesn’t matter if you win by 3 win by 30. A win is a win. Please remember how well the offense played against Notre Dame. Michigan needed Devin Gardner to play well against ND and he did. Michigan did NOT need him to play well against Akron nor UConn in order to win.

Think of it like this. Everyone struggles from time to time. If Devin Gardner has to struggle, I would rather have him struggle when we don’t need him to be amazing in order to win, than have have him struggle when we actually need him to play well.

You could apply the above idea to other portions of the team as well.

Our WRs were wide open all game long for the past 2 games, especially Jehu Chesson and our TEs. Devin Gardner just tunnel visions to Gallon. jehu chesson had his man beat by at least 2 steps on the 2nd int.

“The “errors” you pointed out are not caused by poor reasoning, carelessness or insufficient knowledge, but rather an intention to not conform to the standards required in formal writing when commenting on a forum. Try again.”

Fine. Here is another definition for mistakes from dictionary.com

“to be in error”

You made errors in your writing. The end.
