When can we talk about the test?

it asked for direct

yep 28. the first 6 terms are under 100. then after that every other term is under 100. so 6+22=28

People! Post on the official thread please...

I think I got 28 as well. You have 2 -4 8 -16 32 -64 128 So you have the first six as being less then one hundred. Then half of the remaining ones. 50-6=44 44/2 = 22 + 6 = 28

Yeah I got 2rad3

How bout the 2F(X) question... idk y but that was really tuff

and how bout sentence completion with the scientific discovery that was different than all the other evidence was it startling/revolutionary or appaling/groundbreaking

and the one where the person cared for his mother was it avuncular or funerary

Yes, it was 28.

I misinterpreted the other sequence problem [1, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3, etc.] thinking that the test asked for the nth term when n was 12, which would mean that the numeric value was five. Unfortunate.

"How bout the 2F(X) question... idk y but that was really tuff"

You're a shrinking the graph by changing the y-values, thus making the graph go out only to two, rather than four, I believe.

The scientific discovery question was startling, revolutionary, I think, as appalling has a terrified connotation, in my opinion.

Re-post:

Some tougher questions and answers on math was the 80 inch rule [correct answer 100 inches, I believe, as 20 x (3 +2) = 100], the (x - 8)(x - k) [x squared - 5kx + m] question [answer was 16, I believe, as k was two], the shaded circle area question [diameter is six, answer was 6 pi, I believe], the y = the product of a and x squared graph [side of the square is eight, correct answer was a = (1/2), I believe].

i got 28 and y^2 as well

the mother question was filial

what was that one with the rope and the rectangle? I was running out of time so I just guessed on that one :/

I put y + 16000/y.... something like that

Because the area was 4000... and to find X it would 4000/y. You have 4 x's, so you have to multiply 4000 by 4 to get 16000. I don't really know if that makes sense or if it is even right, but oh well...

for that one I got y + 16000/y

Each of the ropes going vertical was 4000/y and the rope going horizontal was y. So 4(4000/y) = 16000/y

y+16000/y for me too=]]]

yay i got y + 16000/y too... till now I'm sure Ive got 3 wrong in MAth... Geez I cant expect 750 anymore :( :( :(

For the graph y = 2f(x) I chose the one that has twice the y values I think D/E. ie. in f(x) = y of y=1 then in the 2f(x) y=2 and y=-1 becomes y = -2

If I recall correctly the y=2f(x) graph was the one that had the narrower parabola.. I just put it in my calculator. I think it was choice D

Graphing calculator is always a quick and easy alternative :)

the ropes one was experimental right? (wasn't it number 20 on section two?)

I hope to god some part of math was experimental <.<

I got D for the y = 2f(x) thing - just remebered

unfortunately I aint getting that 750+ in Math - :( :( ... my experimental was grammar...
