When can you check your decision?

HOLY COW!!!! THE 30TH???? LIKE MAN, THAT'S A WHOLE DAY BEFORE i get my other decisions and hopkins is my first choice.
Thanks for letting us know dude!

im ed bme... good luck to all rd's/soon to be fellow classmates

I got a letter from jhu about sending financial aid stuff, is this a good sign?

Man.. JHU has been my dream school forEVER.. and now I'm getting this vibe that i'll be rejected. I haven't gotten any emails.. letters.. not even a view book since I applied. Only a post card saying that they received my application.

I hate this.. =(

Both Duke and J Hopkins on the same day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

in response to sempiturn, i have to wonder. would JHU care about his financial package if he was not going to be accepted? it seems logical that this letter would be tipping you off on your acceptance, but on the other hand, the financial aid and admissions offices could work completely independently of eachother. does anyone have any insight into this?

Collegeman, financial aid and admissions are done by completely different groups so they are likely not related.

HHboyJI - dont worry, Hopkins isnt great about sending stuff, even to people who apply etc, they arent terriific at the marketing thing but you shouldnt take that to be a bad sign

hhboy, same here!! but what's a view book?

dog, yep! though the duke board is way more active than this one..

If it means anything, I did get a large spiral-bound red viewbook with pictures of the campus, interviews of students and alumni and other information about JHU. I got this sometime in Jan (i think) as well as a postcard saying they had recieved my app. I don't really think receiving these mean much at all since I've gotten a crap load of stuff from JHU even before I sent in my app.

lol yeah, asdfTT123, you're talking about a giant package including several brochures, pamphlets, viewbook, etc right?
I thought it was pretty cool and JHU had been my #1 choice ever since I did CTY program at JHU campus up until mid January this year when I looked more into JHU and realized how much competition there was and how hard the classes are. So now I don't know if I'd go to JHU or not if I get accepted....ahhhh!! I'm one confused kid.

oh, so that's a viewbook? i got one of those too. i think it came pretty early so i doubt they had time to even look through my app before they sent it.

I got that too

have you guys been receiving the Hopkins Insight Newsletter?

Yeah, I think everyone gets the viewbook and newsletter, so actually their marketing isn't too bad.

nope.. i got none of those.. only a little postcard sayin they received my app... but then again, i'm an intl. applicant

nope.. I'm not even an international.. but no newsletter.. no viewbook.. damn..

damn... pls tell me none of the intls got the viewbook n stuff...... i was pinning my hopes of gettin into atleast JHU...

rm1987: I'm an intl student and yeah, i did get that viewbook and pamphlets and what not and what not. But no, i din't get the newsletter. Guess once they get you to give them your $60, they don't have to bother spending extra on international mails.

oh man, this is so nervewracking.. less than a week left freaks out haha i dunno, i was a lot less worried about this before..

Does JHU send out e-mails to rejected applicants on the 30th also?
