I'm telling you guys...the viewbooks and newsletters mean nothing.

so what exactly is the subject line of the rejection email? "we're sorry from JHU"?? O_o

haha.. that wud be mean!

How do we know that we will be hearing on the 30th? (sorry...I missed it...)

Did I understand correctly that they email us with our decisions?

Thanks for the help, and sorry for being stupid...!

A CCer posted that info. if i remember correctly, his/her GC called up the AO and was informed that e-mails will be sent out on the 30th.

for most schools it seems like it'll say something congratulatory if you're in: "Congratulations...." or "Welcome..." and if you aren't in itll say like "JHU Admissions Decision" or something

thats not entirely true though, i got an email with the subject line " ____ (school) Admissions Decision" and i got in

So when exactly is this email likely to be sent out tomorow?

dunno Electronic.

it's weird though, this feeling of impending doom... :P

First of all.....where does it say that decisions are emailed tomorrow??

so, if you don't get an email, you're rejected?

here is what the official website says

"When will admissions be released?

We will mailing/emailing decisions no later than April 1, 2005. Admissions decisions may be released over the phone only to the applicant, the parents or guardian of an applicant, or the applicant's high school guidance counselor. Decisions may be released only if the identity of the caller can be reasonably assured. Decisions will not be released by phone prior to April 4, 2005."

so the latest we can expect is April 1. its possible they might send e-mails earlier but on the safe side, i'd say April 1 is latest we'll hear from them.

I think you may all be wrong about decisions being released through e-mail. there has been no suggestion of that on the website or in any of my communication with them. For colleges with over 10,000 applicants, e-mailing is less than convienent.

well.. if you read the first line from that website (http://apply.jhu.edu/faqs/rdfresh.html#rd_admit) "We will mailing/emailing decisions no later than April 1, 2005."

so there is still a possibility that they'll email the decisions, although perhaps maybe it would be quite inconvenient for them to do so. gosh why can't friday come already..!

Don't get your hopes up about Wednesday decisions. I talked to the admissions office just this morning, and I was told that emails will not be sent out until the letters are mailed, which will happen "by the end of this week." Sorry fellas, but we've got a couple more days of agony.

****.. so is it tomorrow or not.. darn it :(

why must they prolong our wait?? i really don't understand. april 1st is already late enough.. it only gives us a month to decide where we want to attend! it's so frustrating having to wait soooooo long for decisions. (i'm talking about all colleges here, not just jhu)

charmedone.. my feelings exactly. only a few more days though.. IT SEEMS SO LONG.. argh

about the email thing, i got my acceptance from Maryland thru email the morning before the packet arrived in the mail, and they get a LOT more then 10,000 applications...so its not rly THAT inconvienent for jhu emials to be sent out.

i'm terribly sorry for raising everyone's hopes :( :( :( ugh

the 30th- that is what they told my guidance counselor a week or so ago. but then i called this morning and they said thurs. or fri.

again, sorry x 94837205928304829384!! :(
